Ease to use
How will you like to create a landing page with no technical skills?
Creating a high-converting, eye-catching landing page can be difficult and sometimes, expensive. It might also be daunting if you don’t have the technical skills to create one.
In which case, you’ll need the services of a web developer.
But there’s good news. There is a great tool that makes it a lot easier for you to create amazing and powerful landing pages that can convert visitors to qualify leads without writing a single line of code.
You are qualified to start using this tool right now if all you know is how to use the mouse to move items around the computer.
Did you guess that the tool I’m talking about is Instapage?
You guessed right.
Instapage is a great tool created for marketers by marketers who understand exactly what you need to create a high-converting landing page to help you generate customers and profit from your marketing efforts.
Both marketing agencies and marketing teams can use Instapage to maximize conversion rates and get more from their advertising spend.
It’s any page where a visitor lands when they click on a link from search engines or from other websites?
Well, if we’re talking about website analytics, then this definition is fine because Google Analytics sees landing pages as those pages that visitors enters your website from.
In the digital marketing environment, however, a landing page is more than that. It’s a web page created deliberately for the purpose of capturing prospective customer’s information or to make them take a specific action.
In other words, your Homepage may not be your landing page, your About Us and Blog don’t have to be landing pages -- except you designed them for that purpose.
Using a special landing page in your AdWords campaign is great if you want to maximize your advertising dollars.
Landing pages are a critical tool in every marketer’s tools belt.
Here is an example of a landing page:
Did you notice there is only one button on this page?
The whole essence is to get the prospect to fill out their information and click on the “Generate more conversion” button.
Do you know that a relevant landing page can easily double your conversion rate?Yes, that’s why you want to send your visitors to a landing page instead of a Homepage. Unfortunately, 44% of clicks for B2B companies are directed to the homepage, not a special landing page according to MarketingSherpa.
Of course, there are a ton of other landing page builders which we’ll discuss later in this article, why is Instapage so unique?
Personally, I like the fact that Instapage makes creating a landing page that converts so easy for beginners and veteran marketers alike.
The templates are well crafted with conversions in mind. A 10-year old can start using it to create landing pages quickly.
However, that’s not the most interesting of all, because the platform is easy to use doesn’t mean it has limited features — in fact, it has a truckload of features which makes it so awesome.
Instapage has some of the best lead capture page page builders that provide you with everything you need to create the right landing page for effective lead generation. It also comes with campaign-specific templates that you can choose from.
Whether it’s for getting signups, sales, or downloads, the Instapage lead capture feature allows you to connect the dots between ad campaigns and lead nurturing.
Some of the features that makes the lead capture functionality amazing include:
Creating a form with Instantpage Form Builder is as simple as clicking a button. You simply click on the “Form” button while customizing your landing page in the dashboard and the form comes up. Then you can customize the form as you desire. You have no limitations.
A multi-step form redefined the entire forms concept on Instapage. Because it provides a way to break up a longer form into shorter and simpler steps. Thus, users can easily fill out a longer form without feeling overwhelmed or bored.
This form type is essential, especially when you want to collect detailed information from your prospects and customers.
That's why marketing teams and agencies love it. On the other hand, users are able to walk the extra mile, demonstrating their interest. They can click “Next” or “Continue” button to fill out additional form fields without feeling the weight.
Long forms are scary, yes, really scary. Not everyone has the patient to fill out your long forms. But you can make this form easier and more entertaining to fill with multi-step forms.
Studies show that multi-step forms can increase your conversion by up to 300%.
This can to a large extent reduce the friction in the conversion process.
So why do multi-step forms convert so well?
Here are some of the primary reasons:
Multi-step forms reduce psychological friction.
It makes the first impression to appear less overwhelming.
The progress bars in a multi-step form encourage users to complete the form.
The best part is that you can ask sensitive questions at the beginning of the form such as your visitor’s email address and name and get your visitors hooked up. If they don’t finish filling the form you can reach back to them through their email.
The good part: You don’t need a web developer to do this here is how you can create one.
First of all, here is a good example of a multi-step form:
To create a multi-step form, you might need to create all your pages and their forms in the first place.
Once you've done that you will need to connect them into a multi-step form by following the easy steps below:
Click on the EDIT button in the first step of the multi-step funnel like this:
You should see a page open up:
Next, choose Multistep in the menu.
Now, start your form’s first step. Name your first step. In this example, we are given it the name “Step 1.” You can give your form any name you desire. Also, you can now assign the form to a folder.
I’m sure by now you don’t have a folder yet, you should hit the +ADD NEW to create a new folder.
Create the folder “Spring Campaign” or whatever name you want and add your first step to it. Then hit the “SAVE” button.
Congratulations, your multi-step form has been created. All you need to do now is to add other forms to it.
Go to your other pages and create another step.
Let’s go to our other page. Make sure you first publish your page if you’ve not done so. Just click on the “PUBLISH” button at the top-right corner of the page builder interface:
Open the second page, go to the form, and click EDIT.
Then the page opens, click on the Multistep again:
At this time, all you need to do is to rename it to Step 2 and assign it to the same folder you created initially.
Next, publish the second page like you did the first one.
You're almost done. Next, let's redirect from form one to form 2 in order to complete this multi-step setup.
Open the first page in the multi-step funnel, click on the form and then EDIT tab.
Choose Submission in the builder menu to tell Instapage the page to redirect to if the user hits the submit button:
Choose INSTAPAGE and then choose the page to redirect to:
Once you click on the choose Instapage, the pages will show up like in the above illustration. You can now choose the steps.
If you also want to integrate your multi-step form with a CRM, you'll have to do that in the last form.
What about receiving an email and dashboard notification each time you generate a lead? Sure, there’s a tool for that on Instapage.
You don’t have to keep refreshing the page to see how many leads have been generated. You can now get it instantly to your email and to your dashboard.
This is an important feature as it’ll help you track the activities of your landing page without much ado.
Here is how to set this feature up:Step 1: The first thing to do is to log into your submission dashboard
Step 2: You’ll find the Notifications tab at the top-right corner of your submissions dashboard as shown below:
Step 3: Click on the Notifications button and add the email address you want your notifications to be sent to.
Step 4: Good to go! Once activated, and you’ve added a valid email address, you will start receiving emails similar to the example below:
Instapage customers are able to connect to as many third-party tools as possible. This is important because it’d aid in effective lead generation and nurturing.Lead nurturing is an important part of the customer’s buying process. In fact, data from MarketingSherpa tell us that 84% of nurtured leads convert to customers. More so, 68% of B2B companies use landing pages to nurture new sales leads for future conversion.
Instapage provides a platform to help you run a seamless lead nurturing campaign -- thus, allowing you to integrate several third-party lead nurturing platforms to help you get the best out of your marketing investment.
For example, you can integrate with Salesforce, HubSpot, and most of the popular CRMs.
WIth the lead backup feature you can automatically backup your leads for download or you can import them into other tools for your marketing needs.
Confirmation messages are important messages that you can actually use to connect more with your customers.
When visitors complete your form, you can use the Instapage page builder to create a message that they’ll receive. It doesn’t have to be a generic message. It can be a customize or personal message.
You want to use a system that allows you to save yourself the stress of installing external plugins or even writing codes to deliver digital assets.
Instapage ensures that when your leads opt-in, your content upgrade, ebook, software, tools, or whatever you promise them will be made available for download immediately on the page or through their email.
You don’t need too many forms on your landing page. You can unclutter your landing page and allow your visitors to focus their attention on your copy and trigger a pop up form when necessary.
You want to make it as easy and fun as possible, for your website visitor to take an action. Remember that people don't like filling out forms. So don't plaster forms all over your landing page.
A double opt-in or 2-step form is a form that only appears after a visitors triggers an action or clicked the Call-to-Action button.
It’s a lot easier to get visitors to click the CTA button after they have been derived value from your page copy, and know exactly what they stand to gain. At this point, you don’t have to convince them. They will simply look for the CTA button and click it.
Popups are some of the most hated website features by most users and that’s because they are distracting and most times, annoying. However, exit intent popups and lead capture forms implemented correctly have shown to be some of the best lead generation tactic ever.
There is a 99% chance you’ve seen an exit pop up before while browsing on a random website or on marketing websites, especially as a B2B marketer.
For example, I just visited QuickSprout right now, and as I attempted to leave the website, an exit intent pop up was initiated with this lead form.
Exciting. Neil Patel is a brilliant marketer, you can see how his lead form is taking over the entire screen and the mouth-watering offer.
Of course, even if I don’t get to take action on the page I was on, I might definitely take action on this page. It’s irresistible, especially since I need a ton of traffic right now. Well, who doesn’t?
Instapage provides you with all the tools required to optimize your landing page for high conversion. Here are some of the tools:
Instapage allows you to directly integrate Google AdWords and Analytics into your lead generation process for easier attribution and also to allow your cost per lead (CPL) and cost per visitor metrics to be more visible to you in real-time.
And of course, it allows you to pass lead metadata down to your customer relationship management system (CRM) or marketing automation system.
This is one of my favorite functionalities of Instapage compared to other landing page builders. It provides a mechanism for you to test your landing page elements. To know which one of them is converting so you can adjust accordingly.
If you ask me, testing your landing pages is the most critical part of your landing page strategy if it must be successful.
Testing your landing pages will allow you to improve your conversions throughout the lifespan of your campaign.
Split testing involves tracking visitor’s behaviors with the landing page elements, testing variations with new elements, layouts, and/or designs which will eventually lead to an increase in conversion rates.
You can easily get started split testing your landing page by clicking on the links by the top-left of your Instapage dashboard.
You don’t have to integrate any external tool to run A/B split testing. With Instapage, you can create your test variables and even run some advanced split testing campaigns.
To help you run a better A/B test, heatmaps allow you to get a more detailed insight about how your landing page visitors interact with your website. Take a look at this heatmap example on this landing page.
If you looked at it closely, you’ll notice that the face of the boy and the cards with him had much of the attention. The truth is, the place people look at on your website is where their mouse clicks on most of the time.
Heatmaps can help you a great deal to increase your conversion rate. And being a feature on Instagram means you can start using it now.
Do you want to retarget customers who visit your website but never converted? Instapage has the Drop-In Pixel Tracking feature to take care of that for you.
When people visit your landing page, a lot of reasons could make them not to convert. However, you can use the drop-in pixel tracking to market to them again using retargeting.
How about personalizing your PPC ads content?
Dynamic Text Replacement (DTR) personalizes your PPC campaigns by matching the copy in your PPC ads to the copy on your Instapage landing pages.
In fact, Dynamic Text Replacement makes your landing page more relevant to individual visitors.
There is higher likelihood for visitors to convert to leads when you increase the copy relevancy and of course. In turn, this can increase your Google AdWords Quality Score as well.
You no longer need the services of a web developer for managing your tags, tracking pixels, updating AdWords and Google Analytics, or to edit your marketing tags.
With the Instapage tag management functionality, you can do all of that so easily from your dashboard.
Campaign management is now a lot easier with Instapage. PPC marketers can easily and quickly build Ad Groups for a variety of ad channels, products, features, and demographics all in one platform.
Wondering how you can do so much with only Instapage?
Having all your Landing pages, Analytics, AdWords Campaigns, and other supporting marketing mix integrated into your Instapage dashboard will give you enormous data and insights to report.
Especially if you’re a marketing agency that needs to send a detailed and easy-to-understand reports to your clients. Or you’re a marketing team that reports to a Director.
Instapage takes it a bit further by allowing you to get real-time reports on the go (across all your devices). Isn’t it impressive?
With Instapage it’s a lot easier to integrate with modern third-party marketing and sales automation software and CRMs.
There is a wide range of integrations supported by Instapage and a lot are being added every other day.
Another cool thing about Instapage is the flexibility of publishing your landing page on multiple domains and easily manage all of them from one dashboard.
Other landing page builders would restrict you from doing that or charge way too much subscription fee to access unlimited domains.
This is exciting!
There is probably no limitation to the platform you can ship your landing page to. In case you want to publish them on WordPress, Drupal, or even on custom domains,
Instapage has made it easy for you to do that.
If you create landing pages for clients, you could even enjoy Instapage a lot more as you can get your clients and team mates on board.
This will help you to manage your projects, team, and clients. Some of the agency management functionality includes:
a). Collaboration Solution: Instapage allows you to collaborate with your teammates and clients to deliver your project. There is hardly another page builder that gives you this much -- all in a single subscription.
Your can share your client’s landing pages with them in real-time or even your company’s landing pages: you can get them created reviewed, published, and converting faster.
b). Private and Secure Subaccounts: Instapages secure sub accounts allows you to keep your clients private data secured and under control. These accounts can only be accessed by authorized users.
You can also use these accounts to seperate teams within a marketing or sales department or even clients separate for ultimate control.
c). Advanced Sub Account Permissions and Privacy: An advanced sub account allows you to organize your team workspaces, enable you to better manage your team interactions and maintain your client privacy in a more personal level.
In that which case a team member can only be a part of this sub account only by invitation.
You can also grant specific access privileges to different users. That is to say, some team members should be able to publish a landing page while another should be able to handle some other specific task.
d). Read-Only Team Members: You also have some team members who can only see what is going on but can’t really make changes. With Instapage, you don’t have to share your login details with your team member or client for them to preview the design, you can simply make them read-only team members and they should be able to see everything you’ve been working on in realtime.
e). Multi-User Capability: So now you have all your team members onboard, awesome. Everyone doesn’t only have the ability to access the landing page files and manage, they (your copywriters, contractors, in-house designers, stakeholders, etc) also have the capability to work all at the same time on different or the same project in real time.f). Audit Log: You can easily troubleshoot your account, by looking at your agency account history.
You or your team members don’t have to struggle so much to fill out long forms to register on the Instapage website. You can easily use your GMail, Facebook, or any of your social media accounts to quickly sign in. It’s a lot easy.
You could decide to use Okta, OneLogin, twitter or whatever method you decide to use that’s available.
The support team for Instapage are almost round the clock. You always get someone to talk to when you need help. They’ve got enough how to articles on almost how to use the Instapage page builder.
However, the expert support team got your back always.
Having a kind of issue and need a human to attend to you? Instapage support team are always ready to help.
There can take over your screen and help you fix your issue if it becomes necessary. Their support is that good.
Using Instapage, it’s always necessary that all interactions are verified and proven to be secured and encrypted before users willingly submit their email addresses.
So there’s usually an SSL certificate on the landing pages created by Instapage. It’s a necessity to avoid users privacy compromise.
Users aren’t patient. No, not anymore, they want your landing page to load extremely fast. In fact, they want it to load within 2 seconds. It’s important to know that loading time is a one of the major contributing factor for page abandonment.
I mean, come on, how long will you wait for a web page to load? I bet less than 5 seconds.
However, Instapage uses a wide range of content delivery networks such as Amazon AWS, Google, etc., to speed up their landing pages.
Server uptime is extremely important for every landing page It’s kind of a big deal. Instapage uses a lot of cloud services -- from Dual Amazon to Google cloud to ensure there is a near perfect uptime. Your landing page doesn’t have to be offline for any reason.
To ensure that all these are possible, Instapage has servers across different parts of the world; North America, Europe, and Asia so as to deliver the fastest possible page loads no matter where the users access your page from.
AMP landing page is the new kid in the block. Google just rolled out support for AMP landing pages and Instapage is already supporting it as well.AMP landing pages load instantaneously. Your visitors don’t have to wait anymore. They can also enjoy an amazing user experience on your landing pages.
Google has gone mobile and with their Google AMP powered landing page framework, you can create great landing pages that opens almost instantly without bothering about tinkering the code for optimization — you don’t need to know what’s going on in the backend.
You just create your landing page and Instapage does the rest for you.
You can start creating your AMP-powered landing pages like a professional, right away. The only caveat is that there are some items you can’t add to the landing page that’s build for AMP.
But that’s perfectly fine. You can actually do without them. And when you exceed the size, Instapage will tell you.
Take a look at the difference between an AMP landing page and a regular landing page - the speed is unmatched.
The good thing about Instapage is that you don’t have to build the same page components all the time.Content blocks such as your header, footer, or product block which usually don’t change across your pages can be created once and used across all your pages. That’s what the Global Blocks feature affords you.
I can imagine how difficult this will be if you had to write a code to do this yourself - well, you absolutely don’t have to do anything complex, just drag and drop.
That means if you want to add analytics to all your pages header, you need to only do it in one of your page headers.
Alright, you can do a whole lot of amazing stuff with Instapage. But of course, there could be something you want to that’s not part of the functionalities at the moment.
Yea, you’re right. The guys at Instapage don’t think they’ve done it all. You can request for them to add a feature or a specific functionality to your landing page and Instapage support will be on it.
You only need to be an enterprise subscriber and you have the privilege to ask for more advanced features — whether it’s more pages, more sub accounts, a higher number of visitors per month, whatever you want is within reach.
Of course, that doesn’t mean you can go ask them to build a jet that flies out of your website to San Francisco, that’ll be awkward!
Do you have a bank account manager?
Do you know her name?
Can you call her for enquiries at anytime?
Exactly. Once you register as a premium user, Instapage assigns a dedicated Customer Success Manager who will be an extension of your team. I think, that’s amazing.
Your team members will have someone who they can communicate with about their project, someone who can help them out when the need arises.
Do you have landing pages created on other platforms and want to transfer them to Instapage? It’s easy. You can get a one-on-one onboarding, implementation, and landing page migration service once you create an account. The Instapage team will swing into action and will help you with the migration process.
Everything done for you almost hands free. Instapage is making life a lot easier. They want you to focus on your business and allow them to handle the technology that powers it.
To track your landing page and A/B testing performances, you can simply integrate Google AdWords in a couple of steps. And it should be a lot easy to do. The integration is seamless.
If you’re logged in on your Analytics and AdWords accounts on your computer already, it’ll be connected almost immediately.
Experts at Instapage produce educational articles, white papers, videos, infographics, and webinars to help marketers build and optimize their landing page for conversion.
They also give you a great customer experience. But you might need more help.
As an Instapage user, you can request that an expert reviews your website for conversion. So, you can design 30 templates and request for a review. I think this is an advantage for Instapage users.
You sure know that one of the best ways to get instant response and get your issues fixed quickly is by using the phone support. As an enterprise user, you can call the Instapage phone support team and get your questions answered quickly.
With all these amazing features, are you wondering what the pricing will be like?
Did you guess $500 per month or even $1,000 per month? Well, that could be worth it, it all depends on your needs.
However, they have a competitive pricing which is cheaper than what we guessed. They have four (4) plans with different pricings and different privileges.

The optimizer keeps you some miles ahead and helps you get the best out of your investment. It’s priced at $99/month.

While you can enjoy all the features of Instapage, if you need something more and something out-of-the-box customized for you, you may want to upgrade or subscribe to this plan. The pricing will be determine by the functionality you want for your landing page project.
This part can be a little pricey since it’s customized. But if you have a unique perspective, you can talk to the guys at Instapage by requesting a demo.
So it’s in this plan you’ll enjoy these functionalities:
AMP landing pages
Customer Success Manager
And by the way, you’ll enjoy other functionalities of the Agency and Team as well. So this plan is the ultimate plan to enjoy everything the Instapage platform has to offer.
The good thing is that you can try all the plans for 14 days to see what you’re about to get into. But you can’t try that of the Enterprise plan. Since this plan requires that they create a new functionality for you. They can’t keep creating demo functionalities at no cost.
You should start with other plans and when you need more, just can upgrade. By that you’ve already tested the platform and knows what they are capable of doing.
By the way, you don’t need to enter your credit card details to try the plans for 14 days. I just thought you should know.

Here is how my builder dashboard looks like:
I can add anything and remove anything. Just hit the options in the menu and you get them added. Edit the app landing page as you desire and you can share with me your screenshot in the comment if you’re following.
Instapage is a great tool and should be in every marketer’s box.

There are a lot of benefits for using Instapage including being able to publish your landing pages on multiple domains and CMS (WordPress, Drupal, etc). You can also modify your existing campaigns and lading pages.
So why Instapage?
Why not use Unbounce, LeadPages, or ClickFunnels?
Well, in comparison with other landing page builders, Instapage stands out.
ClickFunnels and Unbounce are a bit complex and difficult for beginners and even intermediates.
And for LeadPages:
Autosave doesn’t always work well
The editor is really ugly and at times difficult to use
And again, for ClickFunnels:
The standard plan limits the number of funnels, pages, and visitors
Split testing is very basic
Being a long time user of Instapage, I can only say you’re limited by almost nothing. The usability and user experience is amazing.
Instapage is a solid tool for marketers compared to other brands in the digital marketing space. Whatever you are selling online, you need a landing page.
Any marketer or business that has used this app to create landing pages usually stick to it because it gives them exactly what they want. The experience is great, too.. Trying it out wouldn’t be a bad idea.
